Twilight Princess utilizes an interesting technique in order to create the illusion of reflections, both during the Blizzeta phase of the Zant fight and during the Blizzeta fight itself. The entire room and the actors within it are actually rendered a second time, albeit upside down and mirrored, and this second instance is stacked directly beneath the primary one. By making the texture of the ice-covered floor transparent, the player is able to peek into this second instance, and the illusion of a reflection is made.
This same technique was also used in The Wind Waker, to create the reflections in the water during the Puppet Ganon fight.
